Prep Time: 8 9 Hours (Depending on
size of meat)
3-4 pound sirloin
tip roast, cut into 1 ½ inch cubes
Karen's Food Company Hot Giardiniera
3 beef bouillon cubes
2 cups water
12 ounces of beer
1 tablespoon dried oregano
½ teaspoon salt
¼ teaspoon fresh ground pepper
1 tablespoon granulated garlic
Bring 2 cups water
to boil and dissolved bouillon cubes. Add beer,
oregano, salt pepper, garlic, ½ jar of Hot Giardiniera,
and meat. Add water to cover if needed. Bring
to gentle boil, then reduce heat to low and cover.
Simmer for 8-9 hours, stirring occasionally.
Meat will become shredded and mixture will thicken
when done. Freezes well.
Serve sandwich style on hard roll with remaining Hot
Giardiniera on side for those who desire more heat.
Delicious topped with shredded cheese. Also
tasty served over baking powder biscuits or as an
appetizer using crostini as a base and topping with
Italian Beef and a sprinkle of shredded cheese.
